Trade names alone are not enough to identify the correct part. Two accessories called “metal patti” may differ in thickness, bends, hole spacing and intended use. A dimensioned drawing or approved sample is useful when requesting a quotation.

Panel fasteners must suit the panel thickness, supporting material and fixing position. Roofing installations may also require profile-specific washers or saddles. 4. Check support and load requirements
Ceiling brackets and structural connections require more than a visual size match. Confirm the intended loads, fixing locations and supporting structure with the project designer. Panel fastener quantities and locations may change with project-specific loading requirements.
5. Select compatible sealing products
Use the sealants, closure strips and other joint materials specified for the panel system. A product should be suitable for the surfaces and conditions where it will be applied. Manufacturer specifications call for these components to follow the system’s written installation instructions.
6. Compare complete specifications
When comparing quotations, check more than the price per piece. Confirm material, dimensions, coating, quantity and any included fasteners. An inexpensive component that requires modification on site can increase the overall installation cost.
